More about American Conservation Experience

ACE offers four programs to provide a range of experiences and entry points for volunteers:

Conservation Corps: Open to 18-25 year old Americans pursuing careers in the natural resources and able to commit to a minimum of three months of service on teams in ACE AZ, ACE CA, or ACE UT. Housing, food on project, AmeriCorps education awards and a cost of living allowance are provided.

Conservation Volunteer: Open to 18-40 year olds from any nationality and any background. Must be willing to commit to eight weeks of service on teams in ACE AZ, ACE CA, or ACE UT. Off days housing and food on projects provided.

Internship Program: Open to 18-25 year old Americans and recent university graduates with degrees specific to positions offered. Interns serve individually under guidance of professional land managers, committing to 3-12 month terms. Housing and stipends are provided.

Volunteer Vacations: Open to any adults of any age and any background. Volunteers sign up for 11 day team projects on Catalina Island or in one of four premiere National Parks in the Southwest. Appeals to busy professionals with little time off, young adults hoping to experience conservation service without a long commitment, and baby boomers/retirees.

Regardless of the length of commitment or the location of the program, ACE attracts a diverse volunteer labor force and provides an opportunity to serve in a production oriented, professionally supported environment.
