What is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)?

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is a safe medical treatment delivering 100% oxygen to a patient’s pulmonary system. This type of treatment, performed in a pressurized chamber, allows the patient to breathe in oxygen at much greater levels than found in a normal room atmosphere.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, known as HBOT, is based on laws of physics such as Henry’s Law and Boyle’s Law. Using the principles of these laws, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is able to deliver more life-sustaining oxygen to tissues and organs. This means that the healing process and recovery is accelerated by the increase in partial pressure of oxygen at the cellular level.

As a safe treatment method, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) side effects are minimal and rarely last long. While it is not a cure for most indications, it has been clearly demonstrated to increase immune capabilities, assisting problems ranging from chronic wounds to complex disabilities and neurological impairment.
