Organizes the annual American Indian Tourism Conference

Provides training and technical assistance to tribal, national, regional and state tourism meetings

Annually hosts the American Indian Pavilion at ITB International Travel Trade Show in Berlin, Germany

Partnerships with Federal Agencies, Academia and Nonprofit Organizations

Implements an ongoing Cooperative Agreement with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Division of Transportation to provide technical assistance and training in recreational travel and tourism

Participates in the National Park Service Civil War Sesquicentennial and National Park Service Centennial planning

Partners with the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian, National Park Service, National Geographic Society, Bureau of Indian Affairs and others to share historical information on tribes that will have lasting value to all Americans

Implements a Memorandum of Understanding with all Bureaus of the U.S. Department of the Interior to enhance tribal tourism

Works with The George Washington University’s International Institute of Tourism Studies, Southeast Tourism Society, and Brand USA
