American Legion Post 310

The American Legion, the Worlds Largest Veterans Organization. American Legion Post 310 (the best little post on the lake) welcomes you to come for a visit.

Membership is not limited to veterans. If you are the direct descendant of a veteran or the spouse or widow(er) of a veteran, you may be eligible to join. Please stop by and ask if you are eligible.

The Post is located in the city limits of Gun Barrel City, Texas off Hwy 198 south just off the shores of Cedar Creek Lake. Cedar Creek American Legion Post 310 was chartered in September 1984. Shortly after receiving the charter, there was no actual Home Post and their first meetings were held in a little place of business just off Hwy 274 south in Seven Points, Texas. The new home post which was the former AMVETS building was purchased for a small fee, in the summer of 1985 and in subsequent years has received numerous improvements. In 1986, The American Legion members donated their time and labor and built a banquet room from which we are able to cook for any size crowd, Post 310 believes strongly in the family and together the Legion, Auxiliary, Sons and the Riders hold numerous charity events for the benefit of the community.
