American Legion Post 434: The Oelschlaeger-Dallmann Post is named after Emil Dallmann and Frederick Oelschlaeger.

Frederick Oelschlaeger was a private first class in the United States Army with the 127th Infantry Regiment, 32nd Infantry Division. Oelschlaeger was killed in action near Aitape, New Guinea, and was the first Oak Creek soldier to lose his life during World War II.

Emil Dallmann was a sergeant with the 39th Infantry Regiment of the Army's 4th Infantry Division and was killed by enemy fire in eastern France during the second phase of the Meuse-Argonne offensive.
