American Opera and Musical Theater Institute
The American Opera and Musical Theater (AOMT) Institute is an educational training program designed to prepare young vocal talent for professional careers in Musical Theater and Opera Performance.
The AOMT is a program of excellence reflected in distinct talent, vocal passion, and performance quality. In a unique collaboration with the Departments of Otolaryngology and Kinesiology at Georgia Regents University, we are offering instruction in the proper maintenance of a healthy voice and the health and wellness of the body, including weight management.
The institute will create exciting performance opportunities for students, faculty, and members of our community by collaborating with internationally renowned musicians, providing a professional level of experience by producing fully staged operatic and musical theater works.

Vision
AOMT Institute will offer an opera program that is unique to the region and the music academic community nationwide. The institute will create interdisciplinary performance opportunities for all GRU students, faculty, and staff. AOMT Institute will produce top-tier, fully staged American operatic and musical theater works as well as standard operatic literature.
