American Red Cross of Northwest Georgia

Our mission is to provide emergency relief to families who have been devastated by disaster. When disaster strikes, many people have nowhere to turn. The vast majority of our clients are low-income families who are living paycheck-to-paycheck and are simply unequipped to take on any unexpected/additional financial burdens. By providing food and shelter, and replacing clothing, medicines, eyeglasses, and other essential items, the Red Cross ensures that they will not become homeless and that they will begin their return to normal life. Our casework process extends beyond immediate emergency assistance; we provide information and referrals to our partner United Way agencies to ensure that client needs are met. The Red Cross is the only organization that responds to single-family disasters.
