Services may include food, shelters, clothing health and mental health services.
Individual and community safety is enhanced because the Red Cross works with community leaders and emergency service agencies to plan and prepare for disaster.

Families are safer because of the Red Cross Home Fire Campaign - a nationwide initiative to lower home fire injuries and fatalities by 25% over five years by installing free smoke alarms and teaching home fire preparedness.

Military personnel and their families count on the Red Cross to help them through emergencies. We have 24-hour service for verification for emergency leave, health and welfare inquiries, referrals and counseling to individuals and families.

People learn how to save lives and respond to emergencies as well as to lead healthier, safer lives through Red Cross training in First Aid, Water Safety, CPR, and Babysitting.
