The American Red Cross mobilizes people to respond to over 70,000 disasters a year. It is also the single largest supplier of blood and blood products to hospitals in the United States. Volunteers, who make up 96% of the Red Cross workforce, provide services to the Armed Forces, and international and community services. The work that these compassionate volunteers do helps people down the street, across the country, and around the world.
