More about America's Heartland Animal Center

Our mission is to provide your pets with medical care for their quality of life and to provide you with peace of mind. The key to wellness is prevention. We are here for all your pet’s health care needs. When an accident or illness occurs, you can depend on us. If at any time you are uncertain about your pet’s health, please call us immediately.

Surgery

We offer wonderful surgical care with close monitoring using advanced equipment.
Before any surgical procedure, pre-anesthetic blood analysis can be performed. The results from our onsite laboratory help us identify any conditions that are undetectable by physical exam. Although there are always risks associated with anesthesia, this thorough evaluation of your pet’s health will help reduce the risks.
During surgery your pet will be continually monitored with the same techniques used in human medicine. When needed IV fluids are given during surgery to support blood pressure and help the body cope with the stress of anesthesia and surgery. Your pet will also receive pain medication and monitoring for immediate detection of any complications.

Reproduction
We are also the International Canine Semen Bank - Nebraska (ICSB-NE). We provide services to dogs that include semen collection, evaluation and freezing. We provide artificial insemination including cooled and surgical.

Senior Care
Dogs and cats are generally considered senior citizens at age 8. Since dogs and cats age more rapidly than people, dramatic changes in health can occur in as little time as 3-6 months. It is important for your senior pet to visit us once or twice a year. Catching small problems before they become more serious medical conditions is critical to your pet’s quality of life. Proper nutrition and regular exercise can also help ensure your senior pet’s wellness.
