AMR of Central New York

AMR-Rural/Metro Medical Services is the lifeline to the Central New York Community. Serving for nearly 60 years, AMR is an integral part of the region’s healthcare delivery system, providing the area’s only CAAS Accredited Ambulance service.

Our crews respond to more than 50,000 calls each year, treating patients in Onondaga, Cayuga, Herkimer, Montgomery, and Schoharie Counties, and the Town of Sullivan in Madison County. AMR is the primary provider of ambulance services for various communities throughout our six-county service area. We work collaboratively with police, fire, 911 centers,other ambulance agencies, and healthcare organizations to provide a true integrated approach to the emergency medical needs of our region.
In addition to ambulance transportation services, AMR of Syracuse is the
area’s largest American Heart Association training center. Additional education opportunities are available for New York State EMT, New York State Department of Health CME recertification program, and other continuing education training courses.
