Anam Kara Wellness

Anam Kara means “soul friend.” When I was a young girl, I loved the Anne of Green Gables series and found myself fortunate to have many “kindred spirits” along my path who have helped me to grow and learn. The idea of soul friend comes from the Celtic concept of a teacher, friend, guide that you can share you innermost self with in order to tap into the hidden resources you have within your heart, soul, body, and mind. The relationship creates an act of recognition for the true you!

In everyone’s life, there is a great need for an Anam Kara…to be seen and understood. The Anam Kara is the one who encourages you to transform your actions, awaken to your purpose, to live healthy, vibrant and full lives.
Our logo of a lotus flower with a heart embodies our mission. The lotus flower is often used promoting yoga, health etc. The reason for this is the conditions a lotus must go through to bloom are symbolic of the growth, transformation, and, change a person undergoes as they move toward a healthier way of living. Transitions and transformations must be heart centered.

We believe every person holds within themselves the innate drive, knowledge and tools to live a healthy and vibrant life. We use this concept of Anam Kara, in a heart centered, manner to help you tap into these resources to reach your wellness goals!

Why a studio, health and wellness spa instead of a gym?
We wanted to create a space which offered something a little different. We believe when a person finds balance in all aspects of their life, health and wellness goals are more easily achieved.
