“Yoga” means more than physical positions. “Living Yoga” means to awaken to your own highest potential and to see oneself as part of the greater life of all. “Living Yoga” brings calmness, intuition, health and vitality to daily life.
The courses offered by the Institute of Living Yoga range from the movements of Ananda Yoga to courses in parenting, leadership and material success.
The centerpiece of “Living Yoga” is contained in the art and science of meditation. Meditation enhances self-awareness and self-understanding. By greater mindfulness we find that we respond to life’s opportunities and challenges with calmness, confidence and creativity. Hatha Yoga (Ananda Yoga) enhances meditation as “meditation in movement.” Combined with the Life Force control techniques such as the Energization Exercises (tension exercises), we learn meditation in stillness and meditation in action: thus, meditation “all the time!” The more we live centered in the Self within, the greater is our ability to reach the center of any person or circumstance we encounter.
