Anchor Lodge is located on the southwest cape of Alligator Point, and was built by J.L. and Jane Oliver in the 1950's to escape from south Georgia to the soothing Gulf breezes. Currently, the fourth-generation of Olivers are enjoying family reunions to the Point. The 3 bedroom house is on one level which is ideal for retirees, children, and those who hate stairs. Oak trees line the yard while the terrace with 50% shade allows for some great "therapeutic" time to relax. There are no hotels, bars, and other tourist attractions to disturb you. It's kind of like being in the country at the beach!
