Our Heritage: The founding members of our Church in the Curve first gathered to worship in McWhirter's Tavern in 1850, when the surrounding community was called McWhirtersville. In 1856, Jere Bowen, Sr donated land so that a log meeting house could be built for worship. By 1870, the church had outgrown the log cabin and moved into a two-story structure on nearby land donated by Dr. E. E. Buchanan, and was the McWhirtersville Methodist Church. By the turn of the century, the congregation had grown so much that Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Price, owners of the Clover Bottom Farm, gave a two-acre tract of land on Lebanon Road, the current site of our Church in the Curve. In 1907, the name of the church was changed to Andrew Price Methodist Episcopal Church, South and later to Andrew Price Memorial United Methodist Church.

"It made me glad to hear them say, 'Let's go to the house of the Lord!'" Psalm 122:1 CEV
