Andy's Attic

Thank you for your interest in Andy’s Attic. We are a 501c3 non-profit organization run by volunteers including students, and 100% of all donations go directly to our cause of providing community support to high school student's and their families. We work in partnership with the Red Cross, the Worcester Youth Center and schools throughout Worcester County.
Andy Reese was a 16 year old teenage boy from Shrewsbury who was killed in a tragic car accident on 12/7/10. Andy was a thoughtful, kind person who actively showed his compassion by reaching out to teenagers and kids in need. In Andy's memory and honor, Andy's Attic was developed by his parents, Darrel and Lisa Reese, and is representative of Andy's character.
Andy's Attic provides new and gently used clothing to disadvantaged high school teenagers in Shrewsbury, Worcester and our neighboring communities. We accept clothing of all sizes from infants to adults year round and financial donations are used to purchase items that may be in short supply like new undergarments and socks.

We are now located at South High Community School where students earn community service hours by sorting, folding and filling bags of clothing. We provide a positive peer to peer community service opportunity for our students to give back to others. Students donate their time, and their own gently used clothing while gaining critical life skills. We average 20 to 30 student volunteers per day and are now filling approximately 45 bags of clothing to teenagers and their families weekly. Students not only donate their time, but they also donate their own clothing. What an amazing group of students I have!
