Angeles Institute

Our LVN program is 11 months long. At this time we only have a full time program that runs Monday through Friday 7am to 3pm (classroom) and clinical hours can vary (8-hour days, 8-hour evenings, or 12-hour days.) We do not have any weekend or night classes. Each class allows a maximum of 45 students per class, but our usual class size is twenty-six.

To enroll into the program you need to:
-be 17 years of age or older
-have a high school diploma (GED, CHSPE, or US Equivalent)
-a drivers license or permanent residency card
-a social security card
-Complete and pass our entrance exam
(basic math and English 12 minutes timed)
-Interview with the Director of Nursing

Financial Aid, including federal and private loan sources, is available for those who qualify.


The cost of the program includes your books, uniforms (3 theory and 3 clinical scrubs), your first NCLEX examination, clinical fees, graduation fees, IV and Blood Certification and fingerprinting fees. After graduation there is an extensive NCLEX review course that is also included.

You are not a LVN until you pass the state exams also known as the NCLEX PN exam and are recognized by the state you wish to practice in.

Our program is accredited through the state of California and also the Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians

If you have transfer credits you must first get them approved through the Director of Nursing. Please bring in a copy of your most current, and official transcripts in order to be eligible.
