More about Angelo's Angels WWII Dog Tag Return Project

Francesca Cumero founded Angelo's Angels on December 12, 2006, after discovering that her great-uncle's dog tag had been found in the South Pacific. A kind WWII veteran went above and beyond trying to get the tag returned to her family, which inspired her to found Angelo's Angels, learn how to perform genealogy searches and begin assisting others in returning lost items to veterans/families. People who have found/acquired WWII, Vietnam or dog tags/items from any era and seek to return them can contact Francesca Cumero at dogtag73@gmail.com. Our team of Angelo's Angels volunteers will do our best to find the veterans/families in a timely fashion so that the item can be returned. Our volunteers are (Founder) Francesca Cumero, Bruce Burlingham-Historian for the U.S. Marine Raiders Association, Christina Carlton-Chief Petty Officer U.S.N, Karan Ciotti-Attorney at Law/Genealogist, Christine Coleman Cook-Professional Genealogist, and Hilary Wyckoff.-Administrative Support
