Theatre Arts (Grades 7-8)

Theatre Arts is more than just an elective. It is a chance for students to learn life skills (such as
ettiquette, responsibility and building self confidence), as well as various aspects of theatre
production and acting. Students participate in film, sound design, lighting design, set design, costume design and stage management. Students also learn skills in acting and performance by participating in school and in-class performances and learning skills such as improvisation and appropriate
performance behavior. Students will be exposed to theatre history, playwrighting, reading plays and viewing live performances.



Creative Drama (Grade 6)

Creative Drama is great class where students cooperate and enteract in dramatic activities. Students perform improvisational activities where they act and create dramatic sketches and stories.
Class group activities help warm up the body, build confidence and helpt to stretch their imagination. Creative Drama offers a student-centered atmosphere where students engage in project based
assignments. Students have fun engaging in mask-making, costume construction, makeup design, puppetry, reader’s theatre, group collaboration, script writing, performance and creative play.
