More about Anomaly Students - Huntington FBC Youth

Anomaly Students exists to bring glory to God and to make disciples of the next generation. We do this in conjunction with the structure of the entire church.

FRIEND LEVEL “GATHER”
KEYWORDS: OPEN, INVITING, FRIENDLY, EVANGELISTIC
Wednesday Night Worship – This is our entry-level event that is open to any student in our town. Our desire is to make this a fun environment for kids to invite their friends to and also provide solid teaching of the Bible in a relevant way. The goal for Wednesday Night Worship (in order to be healthy) is to average 10-15 kids per grade level (60-90 kids) plus some adults to help serve. In future years, we may split into MS and HS services in order to better contextualize the games, worship and teaching to the separate needs of both MS and HS.

FOLLOWER LEVEL “GROW”
KEYWORDS: GROW, COMMUNITY, GROWTH, ACCOUNTABILITY, TEACHING
Sunday Morning Life Groups – Our entire aim as a church is to make disciples. To accomplish this goal, we have small groups that on Sunday mornings that help create community and disciples. These small groups are organized by grade level and gender, but are not set in stone semester to semester. The flow of our structure is to see kids from the 1st level move towards greater level of commitment to Christ and to our church. In the future, we would like to create some co-ed Life Groups, some special topic groups, and other types of groupings.

FAMILY LEVEL “GO”
KEYWORDS: GO, DISCIPLESHIP, SERVICE, MISSION, ACCOUNTABILITY
Discipleship Groups – We have some smaller discipleship groups for a smaller subset of our youth group who want to be more intentional about growing in their faith. Our desire is that these discipleship groups would be the main focus of our efforts and the goal for each of our students in our ministry. Each discipleship group is different, but the goal of each is to have 3 students plus one adult. These groups are the prime place that they are held accountable to growing in discipleship.
