The Antelope Valley Young Marines Detachment is located in Palmdale, CA. Through weekly meetings, community service, physical fitness activities, competition, and ceremonial events, we work to fulfill the mission and achieve the objectives of the National Young Marine Organization in our area. Yearly, we recruit boys and girls ages 8 to 17. Upon completion of 'Basic Recruit Training' youths continue attending periodic meetings (Drills) which inspire America's youth to become responsible citizens, dedicated to their own success and the success of others. You are also welcome to VISIT US at our training location during our Drill days! We are located at the National Guard Armory, 38315 30th Street East, in Palmdale. Cross streets are 30th Street East and Palmdale Blvd. You may visit on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Park at the bowling alley. Parents and children are welcome to spend some time with us to observe our training, meet our instructors, and speak with some of our Young Marines to get the most comprehensive view of what our unit is, what it does, and how it functions.
