Chef Yaneth, the owner of Antigua Cafe, has many years of experience crafting healthy, delicious, gourmet cuisine. She also serves world class, sweet, aromatic and most delectable, Antigua Guatemala Coffee. Her family used to own "La Finca de Cafe" (coffee plantation) in Antigua, Guatemala. Our coffee is the highest grade, gourmet, organic, naturally sweet brew with no acidity. It is there, in Antigua, at La Finca de Cafe, where Yaneth experienced traditional, healthy and organic way of cooking by assisting her Grandmother, Mother and Aunts in preparation of delicious,organic food for a large Family. The smell of freshly baked bread (from a huge outdoor, wood fired oven), she will never forget. Yaneth visited Italy and France, places famous for their great cuisine. She experienced hearty foods of Eastern Europe (including those of Poland) as well. Closer to home, she visited Mexico numerous times and enjoyed its great variety of food. Wine is anther passion of hers. She traveled to many vineyards in California, Mexico (Valle de Guadalupe) and in Italy. All those experiences contributed to her unique, creative,organic cooking style and delicious, healthy, gourmet food for YOU! Chef Yaneth serves house made Guatemalan Tamal: Mayan Empire Royalty Dish dating back 1500 years (wrapped in banana leaf and steamed to perfection for many hours of slow, overnight cooking), most delectable, gourmet Tapas (served on freshly baked baguette), delicious house baked desserts and many other great international foods (in our International Deli Department), such as the Polish BIGOS, the REAL Polish Sausage, Carne Asada, Couscous, Hummus and several others...) complemented by an extensive & eclectic selection of pre-tasted and hand-picked international wines and craft bees.
