APCA - Asian Pacific Lunar Festival of SoCal

From mid January to mid February, we will kick off our Annual, month-long cultural celebration of the Asian Pacific American heritage and its presence in the Inland Region. Our mission for the Lunar New Year Festival is to Collaborate, Commemorate and Celebrate the Asian Pacific Cultural Heritage and Contributions in Southern California. APCA, promotes the awareness and increases the understanding of the Asian Pacific American cultures and its diversity through education.

Visitors to Downtown Riverside will be transported to the beauty of the magnificent Ancient Orient, beginning with a Spectacular Parade of Nations at 10 am, Opening ceremonies at 10:45 am, then Traditional Asian Music, Taiko Drums, Dance Performances, Art Exhibits and Day-Long Demonstration of Martial Arts, Anime Cosplayers and a range of Asian Cultural displays of various kinds conducted by community and professional groups alike on our three separate stages throughout the day.

Make sure you visit the Children’s Village for FREE Arts and Crafts. Also check out the Health Expo hosted by local medical professionals, that brings the art of the Mind, Body and Spirit into ones well being. Then enjoy the day's events with authentic Asian foods of the Far East and try a variety of Teas at the Cultural Pavilions to tantalize the pallet. We encourage you to dress the part of the festivities and wear your favorite Asian Attire along with the hundreds of traditional cultural garbs from all over Asia and South Pacific.

We will have the schedule of performances as we get closer to the festivities, so keep checking back. And lastly, don't miss the closing ceremony with our spectacular Fireworks Display ringing in the Lunar New Year with a Bang!
