APDS provides a comprehensive range of innovative and appropriate, counseling, educational,and social services to effectively:
1) Provide wellness programs, treatment and recovery services for individuals, families, organizations and communities through three program areas:
Substance Abuse Outpatient Treatment & Recovery Department,
Domestic Violence Intervention Education for Male Batterers,
APDS Collective Action for Youth and Neighborhood Development (CAYND)
2) Offer consultation, educational programs, cultural activities and services to strengthen communities i.e. Youth Empowerment and Prevention Summer Day Camp, APDS Millicent “Mama Kim” Dixon Scholarship Fund, GED Classes, Ohio Benefits Bank, Citizen Circle, & Male Support Group, & Celebration of Families Festival.
3) Encourage wholistic development and lifestyles which leads to optimal
health, and
4) Promote the belief that healthy families are the foundation of a successful Community,
