Your pet should receive a yearly check-up which includes a full physical exam. Our doctors take the time to listen to your concerns and then check your pet from head to tail. If there is a previous medical history for problems your pet is being seen for, please bring this at the time of your appointment.
Ardenwood Pet Hospital provides veterinary services for local residents of Fremont, Newark, Union City, Hayward, and beyond. We welcome new clients and strive to provide the highest level of comfort to the pets we treat at our hospital. We provide daytime emergency veterinary service and refer out nighttime emergencies to the Ohlone Veterinary Emergency facility in Fremont. We examine your pet in your presence and make sure you understand your pet s condition and any needed treatments. We also offer dental cleanings, extractions, and other surgical procedures such as spay/neuter, tumor removal, and fracture repair. We offer boarding and daycare for your pet while you are away. We have large runs for dogs and a separate ward for cats providing them with a quiet, comfortable environment. Please ask us for a tour of our facility.
We have an experienced, caring staff at our Pet Hospital. Our doctors have been recognized by the City of Fremont for its work with Search and Rescue Dogs. We have worked for decades with many rescue groups, especially Golden Retriever Rescue. Dr. Ted Rue, the owner, is a 1981 graduate of Washington State University, and he s practiced for 34 years 28 years at Ardenwood. Dr. GiYoung Park joined Dr. Rue in 2005, and also offers warm, compassionate care. They strive to provide the best service for your pet with every visit. They know that your pet deserves gentle care and will provide a continuous source of medical support for your ill pets. We pride ourselves in our follow-up care for these patients. We schedule appointments by phone during office hours Mondays-Fridays 7:30 AM 6:00 PM and Saturdays 9:00 AM 1:00 PM. We have a veterinarian and staff on duty 6 days a week trained and equipped to handle your pets needs. We accept payments via cash, check, Discover, Mastercard, or Visa. We request that payment be made at the time services are rendered. Care Credit is available, allowing interest-free payments over a 6 month period. We provide estimates for all surgeries and hospitalization.
