As a third generation, family owned bridal boutique, we understand what it takes to run a successful bridal business. We believe in the same basic principles that were put in place back in 1938, when the Arena family, a widowed mother of four daughters and one son, decided to come to America from their home in Italy. They arrived in the mid 1930′s the usual way, through Ellis Island. After moving to Detroit, Michigan, they started doing what they knew how to do best, they made wedding gowns for the local brides. In 1938, they felt it was officially time to open the doors of Arena Bridal.

Now, 79 years later, Arena Bridal & Formal is not only still dressing generations of brides, but is the recipient of many awards, both locally and nationally. But the most prestigious award is the DEBI Award which stands for Distinctive Excellence in the Bridal Industry, which was voted on by our bridal industry experts.

Today, Elizabeth’s son, his wife and their family, along with their loyal staff of sales consultants and dedicated seamstresses, gladly arrive each day to greet the brides hoping to find their perfect wedding gown.

In these trying times, Arena Bridal has been able to meet the economic challenges head on, and come out victorious. The reason is because they stop at nothing to cater to their customers, which include brides, mothers of the bride and groom, bridesmaids, and flower girls. We have had the pleasure of dressing these lovely ladies for 79 years and we hope to make their day as lovely as the dreams they have had all their lives.
