Argosy University, Phoenix was founded in 1997 as the Arizona School of Professional Psychology, an independent graduate education provider within the American Schools of Professional Psychology. In September 2001, Argosy Education Group, owner of the Arizona School of Professional Psychology, officially launched Argosy University and renamed the school Argosy University, Phoenix.
