Arkansas Bujinkan Dojo

The Arkansas Bujinkan Dojo is an affiliate of Masaaki Hatsumi, Soke (Grandmaster) of the Bujinkan system. Under Dr. Hatsumi, the Bujinkan is an international organization with members in over 30 countries. Dr. Hatsumi inherited the nine schools that make up the Bujinkan system from his teacher, Takamatsu Toshitsugu, who was the first to bring all nine schools under one Soke. We hold dearly to the principles, laws, and techniques of Soke Hatsumi. As a matter of practice, we also work to achieve a high level of warriorship through the Shinobi no Juhappan (the eighteen skills of Ninjutsu).

The Bujinkan is a complete system. It has elements of self-defense, movement, spirituality, observation, and even espionage and battle strategy. Training includes unarmed and armed techniques as taught in Japan. This system is truly a martial art in that it is centered on centuries-old, combat-tested techniques. It is not a sport martial art, nor do we compete in tournaments or competitions. The most important aspect of this system is its focus on the spirit, mind, and body.
