Armando Dressage started in 2001 when Gabriel Armando decided to transition from an International banking career to follow his passion for horses full time. Suzy joined the team in 2002. Together Armando Dressage became a multi faceted training and showing business. Armando Dressage believes in developing riders with strong basics which enables them to continue up the levels to Grand Prix. They cater to a large range of students and clients from juniors to senior riders. Additionally the business offers clinics, sales and international buying trips.
The Armando’s are based out of Diamond Creek Farm, Ringoes, NJ and for the Wellington season out of their new facility in Florida.
Gabriel is an international rider, trainer and FEI four star judge. He has competed in two Pan American Games representing his native country of Argentina. He teaches clinics in the US and abroad. He has judged the 2011 Pan Am Games, World Cup Qualifiers and several NAJYRC . He is also an FEI mentor judge helping upcoming judges continue their education. Gabriel has the unique three in one qualifiers (trainer,rider,judge) to improve student’s riding skills and scores. His experience in making things happen is clear in his outstanding show record. He has helped many riders obtain their bronze, silver and gold USDF medals.
Suzy brings over 35 years of experience working professionally with horses in various disciplines; jumping, equation, hunters and saddle seat. Her forte is teaching her students the necessary basics and skills to develop and reach their goals. She has trained students to US National Finals as well as Regional and Local Championships. Suzanne earned her USDF Silver and Gold Medals on her Argentine bred Strega (USDF Horse of he Year Int II). Her system is methodical, patient and supportive bringing riders along from Training level to Grand Prix. Her talents go above the ring with her students guiding them on the care necessary to develop the horses to their full potential. Her years a successful assistant thoroughbred trainer proves invaluable.
Stephanie joined the team in 2012 as Barn Manager. She graduated from Lake Erie College in 2010 earning her bachelor degrees in Equine Facility Management and Business Administration. She brings knowledge of daily care and management to the team. She oversees the daily organization of horse and client scheduling. Over the past four years she has developed in to a trainer, instructor and competitive rider. She has earned her broze medal and is currently working towards her silver and gold medals. Not only a lovely rider but Stephanie is a gifted instructor. She focuses on developing confidence in her riders and horses with patience and enthusiasm.
Armando Dressage recently purchased a training facility located ten minutes from Global Show grounds, Wellington, Florida. It has a regulation dressage arena with full length mirrors, GGT footing, European stalls and large, lush paddocks as well as living accommodations. They offer dry stall, full board and various training options.
