Armor of Christ

Armor of Christ Education Center is a licensed childcare center that provides exceptional care to the children and families of Odessa and the surrounding communities.
Armor of Christ offers different hours to meet the many needs of our local families. We offer a preschool program from 8: 30-2:30 Monday through Thursday. We are also open Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 5:30 to better accommodate your work schedule.
We provide care for infants through Kindergarten and are continuing to expand to serve the need of this community.
Once you walk through the doors you will feel the love of Jesus as it is evident in the relationships of our students, families and staff. We are so much more than a daycare or a school, we are a family. As a family we will love and treat your baby as one of our own.
We strive to educate each and every child on a completely individualized level.
Small class sizes and student to teacher ratios allow each child the attention they need.
We believe that education goes way beyond a desk and a school book. At Armor we believe that our job is to work hand in hand with the family to help build a person that can go on to impact not only this community but anywhere else they choose. To build better people we have to teach and grow them spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally and physically. At Armor of Christ, we believe this starts at a very young age. That is why we introduce the accredited A Beka Curriculum beginning in our toddler class and continue to add electives to it each year as the child grows.
The A Beka Curriculum is a faith based curriculum which centers around the love of Jesus Christ. At Armor of Christ we believe that everything centers around the love and acceptance of Jesus and His love and acceptance of us. That is why we begin each and every day in chapel with stories, songs, memory verses and finally kneeled in prayer as one unit.
Like other childcare facilities and preschools compassion is what we naturally do best, however, the importance of building and maintaining our personal relationships with our families is what sets us apart from any other facility in town.
Our dedicated and trained teachers devote hours constructing the perfect, fun filled, Christ Centered, imaginative, and detailed lesson plans that serve the whole child.
Armor of Christ teachers have all received training through the National Institute of Childcare Management and both Directors are not only licensed by the Texas Department of Children and Families, they are also working toward their National Administrators Credentials in Childcare Management. Licenses, training and certifications are nice and some are even required but they cannot compare to the love and feeling of happiness that you will see in the faces of your child and their teachers. Mutual respect, trust and love cannot be bought. It is truly a gift from God and we get to put it on every morning when we put on our Armor.
