Art A La Carte Occoquan

ART A La Carte is an artists' cooperative gallery located in historical Occoquan, VA, just south of Washington, DC. Open to the public on August 1, 2010, this gallery is home to many artists of varied backgrounds working in a full range of art styles and mediums in both two and three dimensions.

ART A La Carte is unique for this area in that it encourages local artists to express their own style of work allowing artists to continually refine their art/craft and maintain their own display. Here, the artists are literally the heart and soul of the operation, and they can be free to experiment with whatever mediums and reproductions they choose to display - hopefully evolving their art more so than in a traditional gallery setting.

Generally, all artists in the gallery rotate to the next appropriate space several times a year. This allows for refreshment of the gallery experience for the public who frequent the shop and give a new perspective to artist and viewer alike. Also each month ART A La Carte gallery features the work of several artists from our cooperative venture. Featured Artists are encouraged to have a reception sometime during their month's exhibition. This allows all of our artists to achieve a great degree of visibility and the returning public will see and ever changing display of artwork when they visit.
