Artists of Color in Ann Arbor (ACAA) initially started as "A Night for Us: Colorful Soul,” a concert series designed to showcase the talents of local artists of color. Held on a monthly basis, “A Night for Us” strives to unite the arts community in celebration of its diverse constituents and their achievements, all the while providing sanctuary in the warm, inviting environment of the Canterbury House. We aspire to expand this comfortable and creative atmosphere to students campus-wide, state-wide, and eventually nationwide. ACAA ultimately serves to empower artists at the University of Michigan by offering career guidance and providing expanded performance opportunities for artists of color.
