Asbury Solomons

In 1994, Asbury Communities, Inc. selected a 42-acre tract of land on the banks of the Patuxent River in southern Calvert County to make the dream of creating a Continuing Care Retirement Community in Solomons a reality. That is when the idea for Asbury Solomons was born.

On September 3, 1996, the first residents moved into the cottages, and apartment move-ins began two weeks later. Community residents came for various reasons: some to retire by the water, some to be free from homeowner obligations, and some anticipating future healthcare needs. But the one thing they all had in common was the desire to live a fantastic lifestyle in a beautiful location.

As the first Continuing Care Retirement Community in Southern Maryland, Asbury~Solomons Island provides a lifetime of living well for community residents.
