Ascension Lutheran Church Niles, IL

The focus of worship at Ascension Lutheran Church is on the many gifts that God gives to us through His Word and Sacraments. We come with nothing to offer God, burdened by sin. Our Heavenly Father responds by delivering His word of forgiveness through Jesus Christ, which creates faith in us by the power of the Holy Spirit. Then we respond with praise and thanksgiving. The emphasis of worship is on the Gospel of Christ crucified and risen for the forgiveness of sins.

Worship at Ascension Lutheran Church is traditional, patterned after the historic liturgy. We use a pipe organ as the primary instrument, but also use a wide variety of other instruments including piano, brass, and strings.
