Asheville Guitar Club

The Asheville Guitar Club’s unique and fun guitar classes are aimed at shaping its participants into confident players who are able to take their love of the guitar to a higher level. All are welcome, from ages 6 to 100, beginners through advanced players. Hosted at the Music Academy Asheville, these group-based classes allow students of all styles to work with their peers under the guide of experienced instructors as they explore techniques that will allow them to better play the music they love and expand their knowledge of music theory to better use their musical language.

Led by Music Academy faculty member Tim Doyle, these classes have been designed over the past four years and influenced by Tim’s training with the Suzuki Guitar method, time spent working with Robert Fripp and the Guitar Craft and Guitar Circles, and his 25 years of experience as a student, teacher, performer, and composer of the guitar.
