The Atlanta State Farmers Market operates under the Georgia Department of Agriculture. It is considered one of the largest of its kind in the world. At 150 acres, the Atlanta State Farmers Market is the "World's Largest Roadside Fruits and Vegetables Stand." It is open 24-7, 364 days a year (closed to the public on Christmas day).
The Atlanta Market is a major marketing hub and distribution point for fresh produce in the Southeast and throughout the country. It features a tremendous assortment of Georgia grown produce, as well as products from across the nation, plus a garden center and a variety of wholesale and retail opportunities.
The Atlanta Market includes two on-site restaurants, Welcome Center & Gift Shop and USDA Federal-State office. Welcome Center hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Atlanta Market is host to a 26,000 square foot Exhibit Hall and meeting facilities, which can be rented out to the public.
