Tết is the most important holiday for Vietnamese in Vietnam and the Vietnamese community in Georgia. January 28, 2017 marks the beginning of the Lunar New Year, the Year of the Rooster, which is celebrated by Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean, Malaysian, Indonesian, and many Asian communities around the world, including the United States, and especially Georgia.

All proceeds from the Atlanta Tết Festival go to Millennial Leadership Academy, Vietnamese American Professional Association, Millennial Council, US-Vietnam Veterans Memorial, mentoring program for parents and students, cultural heritage events, Vietnam advocacy and civic engagement.
