What Inspired AWP:

With wondrous good fortune, our Executive Director Lynn Stallings became the child of Fred & Nancy Wright who were remarkable examples of how to live in harmony with all on the planet. They bravely shaped history, impacting the arts, the environment, world peace, civil rights & family. Doing what's right, often at their own expense, giving us what all humans deserve: love, Attention, Values, Kindness, Purpose, Opportunity to know & love people of all races, religions, economic classes, levels of education & varying abilities. Teaching us to respect humanity; respect life & how to face challenges with love & humor. In their honor, this company will change the world, they showed us how. The Atlanta Workshop Players (AWP) is a non profit organization that has spent 36 years interweaving social themes in all of it's programs, to encourage people to treat each other well. If you can teach people to hate...you can certainly teach people to love. So that's what we do. That's what AWP is all about.
