Philip is an experienced Physical Therapist with over 23 years of experience in the field, having trained in multiple areas throughout his career. He began in a Level 1 Trauma Center at UNC Hospitals with rotations throughout the entire facility following the progression of Physical Therapy rehabilitation from Acute Care in the hospital, to Rehabilitative Care in the Rehab Services Unit, with eventual discharge to Outpatient Services.
Specific competencies in Orthopedics, Multi-Trauma, Burns, Wound Care, Manual Therapy, Cardiopulmonary, Bone Marrow Transplant & Oncology, Neurosciences, and Transplant (Heart, Liver & Kidney) have allowed Philip to develop a treatment portfolio capable of dealing with a large array of conditions and disease processes.
Specialty work includes training in Neuroelectromyography to more effectively evaluate underlying dysfunction and provide an extension of the clinical exam for a Comprehensive approach to patient care planning. He is an Erwin High School graduate, received his B.S. in Biological Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and B.S. in Physical Therapy from Winston-Salem State University. He holds a North Carolina Professional License as a Physical Therapist, with specialty education in Clinical Electrophysiology through Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Provo, Utah.
