More about Atrium Audio

Atrium Audio is a boutique recording studio in Lancaster, PA, owned and operated by Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland. Founded in 2007, the studio has become renowned for its consistent quality output and enjoyable workflow among regional and national bands alike. As a production team, Carson and Grant have spent the last few years solidifying Atrium’s foothold as the cornerstone to the hotbed of music from Southeast PA.

They have engineered, produced and / or mixed music for notable bands such as August Burns Red (SolidState Records), Texas In July (Equal Vision Records), This or the Apocalypse (eOne Music), Sirens & Sailors (Artery / Razor & Tie), Affiance (Bullet Tooth), I The Breather (Sumerian Records), My Heart To Fear (SolidState Records), Rivers of Nihil (Metal Blade), The Last Ten Seconds of Life (Workhorse Music Group), as well as multi-platinum veteran bands Live and Everclear.

Carson Slovak began producing music nearly 10 years ago, recording demos while touring with his first band, ArmsBendBack (Trustkill Records). After leaving the band in 2004, Carson began producing recordings for local Lancaster, PA groups while writing music for his new band with friend and drummer Grant McFarland. The band, Century, went on to sign with Prosthetic Records, release three albums and tour nationally.

Grant McFarland spent several years as drummer and songwriter for the metal band This or the Apocalypse, performing on two albums and touring internationally. Grant eventually left the band to focus on producing music full-time. He and Carson spent several years establishing a unique workflow as a production team before moving the studio to its current location in downtown Lancaster. As fellow musicians, Grant and Carson pride themselves on their ability to connect with other artists through the recording process, providing a fun environment in which creativity thrives.
