Augusta Apartments

Augusta is more than just an apartment building. Augusta is named after Augusta Ada Byron, commonly known as Ada Lovelace – a gifted British mathematician who’s widely regarded as the world’s first programmer. But the building’s homage to technology doesn’t end there. In the late 1960s, the site itself was home to a startup called Computer Center Corporation and it was there at CCC that Paul Allen (owner of Vulcan, Augusta’s developer) and his childhood friend, Bill Gates, honed their coding skills by working after school and on weekends. Fast forward to today and the rest, as they say, is history.
