Avon Dance and Martial Arts

Avon Dance & Martial Arts is a new, family-run, full service Dance and Martial Arts School with 20 years of experience teaching children in the Cleveland, Ohio area. We are located at 36475 Detroit Road in Avon, Ohio, in the historical French Creek District, on the corner of Garden Street and Detroit Road.

ADMA offers both children and adult classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Lyrical, Pointe, Acro/Tumbling, Breakdancing, Kung-Fu, Cardio Kung-Fu (our version of kickboxing), and Practical Self Defense as well as Mini-Camps, Seminars, Summer Classes, Parent/Child Classes, and Private Lessons.

Classes at ADMA utilize a proven, traditional learning system introduced in a new, different, and exciting manner; keeping the classes Fun and Interesting, while enriching the students’ development, creativity, and well-being.

The Instructors

Josephine Savelli began her dance training at Savelli’s Dance and Martial Arts at the age of 3, where she also trained to be a teacher under the direction of Dianne Savelli. Josephine was a member of Savelli’s Triple Threat Dancers from 2002-2008, as well as teaching tap classes at the Willoughby Senior Center. She has performed in Tap into Peace: A Tap Tribute to Stevie Wonder in both Cleveland and New York. She has taken master classes from teachers in New York, Chicago, and Cleveland. Josephine has also performed at the Chicago Human Rhythm Project as a member of the Cleveland Tap Collective, and Tappy Holidays in Cleveland, Montana, and New York. Josephine was also a member of the Saravelli Sextet: a tap group created by Sarah Savelli that has performed in Tappy Holidays, at Third Federal Corporate Christmas Party in both Columbus and Cleveland, in New York, and for various community causes. She also holds an Associate of Arts Degree from Lakeland Community College.

Guy B. Savelli is a 5th Degree Black Belt and head instructor trained under world renowned Guy L. Savelli, Master of Kun-Tao Kung-Fu. He has been an instructor of martial arts since 1978. Dustin M. Savelli has been instructed by Master Guy L. Savelli in Kung-Fu and has been teaching children for the last 12 years with Guy B. Savelli.

Rocky Vasquez Has been training in dance her whole life and has finished her training under Josephine Savelli. She specializes in the youth dance classes with the perfect balance of kindness and caring keeping the classes fun with a firm guiding hand to help establish a strong dance base to build on.
