In the summer of 1979, Mike Azar unknowingly opened the doors to what has become an absolute staple of Newbury Park. Once known as Azar's Red Robin, many things have changed and both stayed the same over the years. Azar's has always catered to the local scene while adding an inviting twist on the community. Golf tournaments to private parties, a great dinner spot to a weekend of becoming un-glued, Azar's has a little something for everyone. Now owned and operated by son, Geno Azar. "Azar's Sports Bar" has a fresh look and a more enticing feel. The remodel and makeover of 2011 was an instant game-changer. Now lined with over 30 HD televisions and equipped with a cool "Ice-Bar", Azar's has really set the tone for a top shelf atmosphere. With live entertainment every Friday and Saturday, the expanded dance floor and up-graded stage really makes for a stellar night out on the weekends. With Karaoke and daily specials, coupled with an expansive menu and above average food, Azar's is the place to be in Newbury Park. All the flat panel TV's along with the massive projector screen makes viewing any sporting event at Azar's second to none. Imagine a $4.99 Bacon n' Eggs breakfast with every out of market game on come Football Sunday, it's glorious. Not to mention the out-door, covered patio with full eating and drink service, Azar's also stays open until it's legal nearly every night of the week. If you haven't stopped in yet, it's time.
