B Everett Jordan Dam & Lake, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

Operated through a partnership between the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the State of North Carolina, Jordan Lake conserves 46,768 acres in the midst of the expanding triangle area. The purposes of Jordan Lake are to provide flood damage reduction, outdoor recreation, and fish and wildlife conservation.

Recreationally, the lake provides plenty of opportunity to relax among the undeveloped lake shore and beautiful pine and hardwood forests. You may choose to paddle on the calm water, go fishing from your bass boat, bring the tent or RV out for camping, or take a dip at a swim beach. While your in the area, don't forget about the many hiking trails that can be found around the lake!
