Back Forty Farm

Back Forty Farm is a new horse facility located in Newberry, South Carolina. After 5 years of searching, we found this beautiful piece of land! The property is 43 acres with 22 acres of lush green pastures!

We have experience caring for horses of all ages from young foals to seniors, and give EXCEPTIONAL care! We offer pasture boarding only (no barn) with access to shelters as well as wooded areas for horses to find relief from the heat of the summer! We have a "Jenny Craig" pasture for horses that need to spend less time grazing. There is a tack and feed room, cross-tie area, and trailer parking at no cost to boarders.

We have several miles of dirt roads to ride as well as some trails in the wooded areas on the property (with more to come soon!). Within 30-45 minutes of the property there are great riding facilities like Lynch's Woods, Brickhouse, Old Ninety-Six State Park, and Croft State Park.

Rates:

To keep our rates low, we will NOT provide any feed, supplements, or hay to our boarders. We will rotate pastures and maintain them for optimum forage. Please remember in the cooler months that hay may need to be given. The plan for this is that we will buy hay and split the cost with our owners. For example: 100 bales = $500.00 / 8 horses = $62.50/per horse (depending on the price per bale each year).

This includes one feeding/day owner provided feed/supplements (hay will be extra charge)

$250.00/month per horse
This includes two feedings/day owner provided feed/supplements (hay will be extra charge)

All horses will get a DAILY wellness check, free-choice minerals and salt, fresh water, and exceptional care!
