I discovered ceramics as a kid. Just two doors down from Nana Ruby's house lived Mrs. Dot with a cinder block building in her backyard where you could get your hair done, or paint a mouse sleeping in a nut shell.
At Christmas time mom would buy Christmas mice ornaments for us to paint as gifts. Those are some of my fondest Christmas memories, little girls around the table with mom, painting.
As a mom, I looked for those same Christmas mice in ceramic shops across the south, but never saw them again, until we moved to Texas. Here I decided to combine traditional ceramics with a fun party approach. I've had a shop in downtown Bastrop for over a year, but closed it in order to go mobile.
Now I'm taking vintage ceramics to local venues and events, adding art to places you love to frequent.
Look for paint parties scheduled on a back porch near you through the events listed on our Facebook page, or let me bring the party to you!
