Bakersfield Adult School has served our community since 1917. Today, BAS serves nearly 30,000 students that attend both day and evening classes at over 20 locations. BAS is the 8th largest adult school in California, providing classes for:

295 Adults with Disabilities - "self-esteem, self-worth, and, (in some cases), employment!"

3,196 Students is ESL/ELD/EL Civics - "teaching the English language, U.S. history and culture, as well as, community awareness and involvement!"
