Ballet Idaho

The 2016/17 season may be our best season ever! We return with our new works, NewDance, Up Close, where our dancers become choreographers and express themselves through new pieces. This series is intimate and special, danced in our own theatre in the Esther Simplot Performing Arts Academy. The first series of NewDance runs November 10-13.

The Nutcracker returns to the Morrison Center the week before Christmas. We hope you’ll join us again this year for this cherished family tradition. December 16-18, 2016.

In February we are back at the Morrison Center for an extraordinary event, which offers something for everyone and includes live music by the Boise Baroque Orchestra. Concerto Barocco, with choreography by George Balanchine © NYC Ballet. The hilarious Night Crawlers, with choreography by Peter Anastos. Lastly, contemporary new work by Daniel Ojeda, featuring locally composed music by Jeremy Stewart and Daniel Kerr. February 10-11, 2017

In March we offer another edition of New Dance, Up Close in our theatre. There are always surprises in this series, boundaries pushed, risks taken, ideas explored, all in the close proximity and intimacy of our own theatre at the Esther Simplot Performing Arts Academy.

Finally, back at the Morrison Center, our season closes in April with Peter Pan, the magical and fun adventure for all ages!
