The 500-seat Bankhead Theater, which opened on October 1, 2007, serves as the home for a number of the area's finest performing arts organizations, including Del Valle Fine Arts, Livermore Valley Opera, Pacific Chamber Symphony, Livermore-Amador Symphony, Valley Dance Theater, Cantabella Children's Chorus, Tri-Valley Repertory Theatre, Pacific Chamber Symphony and the Valley Concert Chorale.

In addition, the theater hosts visiting performance ensembles from around the Bay Area, including Lamplighters Musical Theatre, Oakland Ballet and the California Theatre Center, as well as providing performance and recital space for some of the area's music, dance and theatrical training programs. Finally, LVPAC presents a full array of performance activities drawn from artists and ensembles across the United States and beyond.

The Bothwell Arts Center serves as an arts incubator, offering affordable and rentable classroom, rehearsal, performance, event, and studio rental space for artists, musicians, theatrical, acting, choral, and other individuals, groups or events with a cultural arts focus. We also offer an inexpensive Art Gym program, allowing artists working room without a large investment.

LVPAC’s goal is to provide arts and entertainment activities for the entire community throughout the year, energizing downtown Livermore and the Valley's arts and cultural scene. The theater is also used for conferences, seminars, meetings and public events.

The mission of the Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center is to establish and operate a world-class performing arts center in the Tri-Valley that promotes and encourages the presentation and creation of visual and performing arts while enhancing the public's appreciation, enjoyment and understanding of the arts.
