Barefoot Sunday Victoria,TX

Barefoot Sunday is a regional shoe collection effort aimed at uniting our ethnic and religiously diverse community through service acts for third-world Malawian children and adults.

For a country too poor for many of its citizens to own shoes, Barefoot Sunday collections in Victoria and surrounding counties helps bring pride and disease-preventing shoe wear to some of the most economically disadvantaged people in the world.

This year, the Barefoot Sunday service will be held on a Sunday morning at Faith Family Church, and will ask attendees to bring as many shoes as you can to the event. You may volunteer to help sort and count Sunday night in the Connection Center.

We set a collection goal the first year to collect 1,000 pairs of shoes for Malawians. But the generosity of South Texas overwhelmed the project, and we collected more than 5,300 pairs!
Last year, we set a goal of 5,000 and raised more than 8,000 pairs!
